Rice

Indian export quality rice encompasses a diverse range of varieties, including renowned Basmati types like Basmati 370, Basmati 1121 (also known as Pusa Basmati), Basmati 1509, Basmati 1401, and Basmati 386. In addition to Basmati, Non-Basmati varieties are also widely exported, such as Parboiled Rice, Long Grain White Rice, Short Grain Rice, Medium Grain Rice, Jasmine Rice, Sella Rice (Parboiled Basmati), and Ponni Rice. These varieties adhere to specific quality standards, typically with grain lengths ranging from 7.1 mm to 7.7 mm for Basmati and varying lengths for Non-Basmati, broken percentage between 0% to 5%, moisture content of 12% to 14%, and minimal foreign matter. Packaging is typically done in polypropylene bags of 25 kg, 50 kg, or as per buyer’s specifications, with around 26 to 27 metric tons of 25 kg bags or 25 metric tons of 50 kg bags loaded in a 20-foot container, subject to variation based on specific requirements.
