Okra (bhindi)
Indian okra, primarily of the “Pusa Sawani,” “Parbhani Kranti,” and “Arka Anamika.”” variety, is exported with careful consideration to packaging and quality. The preferred packing material is corrugated fiberboard boxes, available in weights of 5, 8, and 10 kilograms per package. Okra pods, weighing between 20 to 30 grams each and typically 4-6 inches in length, are stored and transported at temperatures ranging from 7 to 10 degrees Celsius. This packaging ensures the safe transportation of okra while maintaining its freshness and quality for international markets.
